Nicole's New York Style

After experiencing some serious plane trouble Nicole Richie finally made it to New York for her whirlwind promotional tour. Nicole took to her twitter to explain to fans why she was late to her book signing at Borders. Nicole arrived at LAX at 5am but due to some engine trouble had to hope on another plane. That wasn't all though, she was then grounded in Chicago due to some weather issues.

Nicole finally arrived at Borders, two hours late and without her hair and makeup professionally done. Nicole was very apologetic though taking to twitter to personally respond to many fans waiting in line explaining why she was late.  I think it was so sweet of Nicole to respond to so many fans!

Nicole looked stunning at her book signing wearing her favourite fedora hat, Alexander McQueen skull scarf, a Winter Kate Jacket as well a s a pair of studded Christian Louboutin boots.

The next day Nicole woke up early to appear on Good Morning America where she did an amazing job!

Nicole looks stunning wearing a Winter Kate dress, a pair of Stiletto Christian silver Louboutin heels and those amazing sunglasses!

Nicole was spotted out later that day in NYC to run some personal errands.


Nicole looked so chic wearing a Winter Kate yellow shawl, Winter Kate boots, A Chanel quilted black handbag and some denim cut offs.

Later that day Nicole had another TV appearance to go to this time on the show "The View". This outfit is quite possibly my favourite New York outfit so far!



Nicole was wearing a Winter Kate Dress which she teemed with a Marc Jacobs Jacket.

BREAKING NEWS:- Nicole's probation extended!

 Breaking news on the interwebs is that Nicole's probation which she received for her DUI has unfortunately been extended by one more year. This mean it now ends in March 2011. It is believed Nicole has been so busy with her two children and her busy work schedule that she has simply been unable to attend every alcohol education class. 

However if Nicole does finish her class early the judge has said he may terminate the extra sentence.  However please note that Nicole simply just didn't attend her classes, her lawyer has said that she actually had "program approved" leave to deliver and look after Harlow and Sparrow. I'm sure as soon as she can Nicole will complete all required classes :) 

SPOTTED:- Nicole Richie attends Gulf Telethon

On Monday evening (June 21) TV personality Larry King held a live telethon to help raise money for the disaster that has happened in the Gulf. 

The two hour event was titled "Disaster in the Gulf: How You Can Help".

Together America managed to raise over $1million! 

It's great to see Nicole doing even more charity work!

Nicole was indeed a busy bee when she was here in Australia last week, another interview has emerged this week with another gossip magazine, this time NW. 

Now I have to apologise for the quality of the images as I do not have a scanner so they are photos I took with my camera. If it is too hard to read let me know and I can type it out :)

AUSTRALIAN EXCLUSIVE: Nicole and Grazia Magazine

As you are aware Nicole spent the end of last week down here in Australia on a whirlwind publicity campaign. It's now Monday and that means all the new magazines are out and luckily for us Nicole is on the cover of one.

Below is a partial snippet of the article featured in the magazine. 

She has a quiet determination and a ruthless fashion sense. It’s in her DNA, after all, as Clare Maclean found out…

She’s one of our favourite cover girls – whose pictures we’ve pored over endlessly in this office, and whose easy style we love.

But nothing can prepare us for the mini-dynamo that whirls into the room, introducing herself to everyone in a manic 30 seconds before leaving her entourage trailing in her wake as she spots the racks of clothes waiting for her perusal and speeds off in their direction.

Within seconds she’s stripping off her own skinny Jet jeans, ballet flats and Chanel sunnies to try on a ksubi studded jacket and cut-offs from General Pants Co., before strutting out into the studio.

It’s only when she emerges in the micro-denim that the full impact of Nicole hits – she is absolutely tiny.

Not emaciated-tiny as she was in her troubled years, but perfectly petite, with fantastic toned and tanned legs. It’s hard to believe she’s a 28-year-old mother of two, but as she swaps outfits, she’s obviously happy with the way her body looks and she’s confident about what suits her.

She’s out here for the opening of the MidCity Style Space in Sydney’s Pitt Street Mall. In 24 hours she has flown in from LA, made that TV appearance and braved the rain and screaming fans (they had to erect crash barriers to control the school-wagging girl crowd), so this shoot is more like downtime for Nicole, who is clearly a girl who loves to shop. And she likes to keep it real.

Asked why she accepted the invitation, she says enthusiastically: “I think MidCity is really great – it’s the place to go for high-street brands.

“Forever New is fabulous and I love ksubi, and sass and bide, and all those brands at General Pants. “I’m all about fashion, so I was excited to come out.”

All of this while pressing “ignore” on calls from her mobile phone, and with an eye on the next outfit she wants to try on. She scuttles back into the change room and edits the rack with the eye of a ruthless fashion professional, emerging in a pair of black skinnies and a Wheels & Dollbaby leopard-print cardigan. Next up, she delivers the lowdown on the five pieces she just couldn’t do without: “A good pair of dark jeans, a good pair of light jeans, a statement pump – like a snakeskin pump or something – a bright scarf and a good jacket.”

And the best buy for this season?

“I would say a really great, chic peacoat never goes out of style.”

We’re sorted. Now, on to a choice between a pair of Louboutins or Wittner boots; there’s barely a glance at the Loubs before she’s all over the high-street pick. For a girl who can afford anything, it’s deeply refreshing. So how has her style evolved?

“You know what, fashion is really fun and I think you just have to have fun with it and experiment with different looks,” she confides.

“It’s the fun part of being a girl...”

UPDATE:- The latest on Nicole in Australia

More pictures have emerged from Nicole attending the opening of 'Style Space" in Sydney. Nicole later attended the VIP event that day (Thursday, June 17)

I'm very excited to say that Nicole is wearing an Australian brand :)

her amazing sparkle jacket is a Witchery design, even better news for me is that a Witchery shop just opened up at my favourite mall :)

Nicole was quoted at the event as saying

"I just like to have fun with fashion and I like to dress up and it really just depends on what mood I'm in. Fashion is something you really can have fun with and it's something you can play with ... it's what I do and encourage other people to do the same."

Also yesterday (Friday June 18) Nicole was spotted enjoying the animals at Sydnet's Taronga Zoo with good friend Pete Wentz who is also in Australia for a promotional visit.

Nicole looked great and comfortable in what she was wearing, I love that Winter Kate jacket.

Later that day Nicole posted the following picture on twitter

saying "I think I'm in Love"

So what was Nicole up to this afternoon?

Well she was enjoying a girly afternoon tea with Nova DJ Maz Compton.

Seeing as I don;t live in Sydney I missed Nicole's interview but I will see if I can find it online :)
